Principals Who Inspire Us

Deandre Butler, President and Owner, SAPM

Mr. Butler leads his team with a BS degree in Criminal Justice and more than 17 years of combined experience in security and investigative services, including 4 years as an Army Ranger. He is licensed as a Private Detective and Security Contractor in the state of Illinois. Mr.Butler’s vast range of experience and expertise in all facets of Security and Investigations has enabled him to create an exceptional business and assemble a first-rate team of security experts.

Mr. Butler responsibilities are focused on driving the company's security and detective services throughout the Lake and Cook County areas and extending into many other states. His business philosophy is to provide SAPM clients with the latest technology and quality products coupled with customized and personalized security service.

Mr. Butler is committed to continuing education and the training and re-training of his staff. He is dedicated to the expansion of SAPM capabilities to meet every corporate and personal safety and security need.

Captain Marvin Garrett

Marvin Garrett holds the rank of Captain with Safety and Protection Management Inc. and has been employed with SAPM over five years. Captain Garrett has over 20 years of experience in the security field. His extensive experience in the security industry includes industrial, corporate, power plants, retail, high schools, and housing complexes.

Captain Garrett has a distinguished and long record of law enforcement service. He became a police officer in September of 1999 with the Great Lakes Illinois Police Department. He held the rank of patrolman until August of 2002, when he was detailed to Criminal Investigations where he investigated Domestic Violence cases. In January, 2003 Captain Garrett was promoted to the permanent position of Detective and currently investigates a variety of general criminal cases. Captain Garrett is a great asset to SAPM, combining vast tactical experience with in-depth legal knowledge, which he incorporates when dealing with and training new SAPM employees. SAPM is fortunate to have an employee so well versed in the field of security and law enforcement.
